SYNDE – CENTER FOR EVIDENCE-BASED PSYCHOLOGY

Learn to navigate the waves of your most intense thoughts and emotions without being swept away, so you can stay steady on your path.

You are a resourceful person, with a strong ability to analyze complex situations and find solutions. That is precisely why it feels so frustrating when that same logic doesn’t work with your own distress. You’ve been using your intelligence to understand why you feel this way, trying to reason with your worries or intrusive thoughts and hoping that, with enough analysis, the problem would simply disappear.

But it doesn’t. In fact, you often feel that this over-analysis only feeds the loop, leaving you trapped in a cycle of anxiety, self-criticism, or dissatisfaction in your relationships. It is exhausting and confusing…

How can you be so functional and competent in your professional life while feeling stuck inside?

The answer is that psychological suffering rarely yields to logic. The solution is not to analyze more, but to learn to do something radically different. At Synde Psicología, we propose a different path: an approach not based on fighting your mind, but on changing the rules of the game.

OUR LOCATION IN MADRID

A psychology for those who believe in progress, science, and effectiveness

We understand that you are looking for a rigorous, pragmatic, and results-oriented approach. That is why our center is built on an unwavering commitment to evidence-based psychology, designed for discerning minds like yours.

1/ Innovation and scientific forefront

Our team shares the same passion: clinical excellence. We specialize in Contextual or Third-Wave Therapies, particularly Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), because it represents the cutting edge of contemporary psychology. This approach has robust scientific support and offers an effective perspective for change.

We have trained in leading centers for research and teaching of Contextual Therapies, learning from key figures such as Carmen Luciano, Kelly Wilson, and Steven Hayes. This level of specialization is our guarantee of quality.

We believe that the most effective therapy grows from an authentic, collaborative relationship. Here you will find a warm, human space combined with the rigor of a structured method, where each step has a clear purpose.

The name of our center defines our mission. We want to help you stop struggling so you can connect with yourself, with others, and with the skills you need to deliberately and wholeheartedly build a purposeful life.

Our method goes beyond symptom analysis

If you have tried other therapies, you may have focused on analyzing and relieving symptoms. Our approach is fundamentally different because it is not centered on the “elimination” of symptoms, but on developing a new relationship with them.

This perspective embraces the wholeness of your existence, allowing you to cultivate a much deeper sense of fulfillment than mere symptom relief—because change happens at a core level: in how you live and in the person you choose to be.

Nice to meet you, I’m Blanca Escartí

I came to psychology, which I consider my true calling, after a successful career in business law. Because of my personal history, I practice my profession with deep gratitude and purpose, and I would love to help you look toward new horizons, expand your life, and fill it with the things that truly matter to you. My experience in the corporate world has given me firsthand knowledge of high-pressure environments, allowing me to offer clinical support that is deeply pragmatic and grounded in reality.

In my clinical practice, beyond individual work, I have a special passion for working with couples. In this space, my approach focuses on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a cutting-edge model with a solid empirical foundation. EFT allows us to move beyond superficial arguments to heal the wounds that cause disconnection. My goal is to help you build a secure bond, where vulnerability is transformed into strength and it becomes possible to rebuild trust and intimacy.

Hi! My name is Cecilia Lena and…

I am a psychologist with experience supporting adults and adolescents in their processes of personal and emotional growth. My goal is to provide a safe and professional space where you can reconnect with what matters to you and move toward a more fulfilling life.

I am licensed as a General Health Psychologist and specialized in Contextual Therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP). I also have training in child and adolescent interventions, addressing issues such as emotional regulation, conflict, and family relationships.

When I discovered Contextual Therapies and Behavioral Analysis, I realized that scientific rigor and human warmth are not only compatible but essential in therapy. Since then, I have worked as a contextual psychologist with both adult and child/adolescent populations.

I invite you to create your own path in therapy, learning to relate to yourself and the world with curiosity, openness, and kindness. Our guide will be your story, so you can begin to act according to the life you want to live.

Every person I work with also enriches my journey as a therapist. Thank you to those who have trusted me, and a warm welcome to those yet to come.

Pleased to meet you, I'm Uxía López

I hold a Degree in Psychology from the Complutense University of Madrid, specializing in Clinical Psychology. Subsequently, I completed the Master in General Health Psychology at the European University of Madrid.

I rounded out my clinical training with a Master’s in Third-Generation Therapies at the Instituto Superior de Estudios Psicológicos (ISEP). I am currently continuing my training from a contextual perspective.

Throughout my professional practice, I have worked with adolescents, adults, and couples, addressing cases related to anxiety, mood disorders, grief, eating behavior, stress, and self-esteem.
